Freezing....

Last week was really cold. The week began with a snow storm and with the temperature around -12C. During the week the temperature fall down and yesterday it got -22C, but feeling like -35C!!!
Looks like Canada is showing itself to us!!!!
Yesterday it was FREEZING!!
Parece que, finalmente, o Canadá mostrou seus dentes! Esta última semana iniciou com uma tempestade de neve e com temperatura em torno dos 12 negativos. Mas, ao longo da semana passada a temperatura caiu muito e ontem chegou a -25C, mas com sensação térmica (feels like) de -35C!!!!
Ontem estava realmente MUITO frio!

Last Sunday, at noon, we went to the Confederation Park for toboganning with Krista and Steve. Krista and Steve are a Canadian couple who volunteer for CCIS (Calgary Catholic Immigration Society) helping some families (as ours) to get integrated in Canadian life style.
No domingo nós fomos brincar no Confederation Park com a Krista e Steve, que são um casal canadense que voluntaria para o CCIS (organização na qual fizemos os workshops) ajudando novas famílias a se integrarem no estilo de vida daqui.

Despite the COLD weather we had fun sledding down the hill! At that day the temperature was around -15C, but it was feeling like -25C because of the wind. It was REALLY cold. We almost couldn’t take pictures because it was impossible to take the gloves or mittens off. Sometimes we had to go inside Krista and Steve`s car to get warmer. Hahahaha…

Apesar do FRIIIOO nós nos divertimos muito escorregando morro abaixo no trenó da Alice! Naquele dia a temperatura estava em torno dos -15C, mas com sensação térmica de -25C por causa do vento. Estava MUIIITTTO frio. Praticamente não deu para tirar fotos por que era quase impossível ficar sem luvas. Às vezes nós entrávamos dentro do carro da Krista e Steve para descongelar um pouco. Hahahaha...

As soon as we got home we bathed our feet to unfreeze them….

Quando chegamos em casa colocamos os nossos pés de molho na banheira para descongelar....Ai que alívio.....

Next time we are going to wear snow pants too. Quico and I were wearing only jeans.
Da próxima vez vamos usar roupa apropriada: snow paints para poder aproveitar melhor e brincar mais!
As you can see, each new day we are learning something new about how to live in a such cold weather. Hahaha…
Como podem ver nós aprendendo a cada dia uma novidade sobre como se viver em um lugar gelado. Hahahaha...
