Two weeks ago we went to DC to enjoy the cherry blossoms. It was very crowded because during the morning the Cherries Blossoms Parade was held to celebrate the beginning of spring and the gift of the cherries trees from Japanese people to Americans in 1912.
Duas semanas atrás fomos à Washingon DC para apreciar a beleza das cerejeiras. Estava muito lotado por que pela manhã teve uma passeata (Cherries Blossoms Parade) para comemorar o início da primavera e o presente (cerejeiras) recebido pelos japoneses em 1912.
Even though it was all crowed we had an amazing time. The weather was nice and we could walk around the monuments area and admire the trees blooming. All the top of the cherries turns into white or pink and the only think you can see are the flowers and no one leaf. With the time (some days) the flowers have fallen down and the leaves grow up and the top turns into green. Very beautiful!
Apesar de toda a multidão nós aproveitamos o passeio. O tempo estava bom e conseguimos caminhar ao redor da área dos monumentos e apreciar as flores das árvores. Toda a copa das cerejeiras fica florida ou de branco ou de rosa claro e a única coisa que é possível ver são as flores. Com o tempo – apenas alguns dias – as flores começam a cair e vão dando espaço para as folhas e assim a cor da cerejeira vai do branco ou rosa para o verde. Muito lindo!
