Desde a semana anterior a Alice estava contando os dias para o Halloween. E, finalmente o grande dia chegou!
Alice was counting the days, since last week, for Halloween. Finally the great event has arrived!
Os primeiros preparativos começaram na noite anterior com o entalhe na abóbora. A Alice queria por que queria fazer um Jack-O-Lanten. E, é claro, que o Quico ajudou....
The first arrangements began at the night before Halloween with the pumpkin cutting. Alice wanted, so much, to have one Jack-O-Lantern. And, of course, Quico helped her. 
Depois, no dia da festa, os preparativos foram com a maquiagem e fantasia. Ela ficou uma verdadeira gatinha, não?
The next day the arrangements were with the make-up and the costume. She was a real kitten, wasn’t she?
Uma colega da Alice nos convidou para irmos com ela em uma festinha que tem no estacionamento de uma igreja. Fecham o estacionamento e vários voluntários estacionam os seus carros, enfeitados, é claro, e distribuem doces ou brinquedinhos para as crianças.
One of Alice classmates invited us to a Halloween party at a church parking lot. The volunteers closed the parking lot, parked their decorated cars and shared out candies and toys with the children.
Mas, é claro, precisamos primeiro checar o mail!
But, of course, we first had to check the mail box!
Festa: Trunck or Treat (trocadilho ao invés de Trick or Treat).

Oferecem também comes e bebes: cachorro-quente, salgadinhos e refri. Cada um contribui com o que quiser e se puder.
At the party there were some foods to eat and some drinks. Everything was free and you could pay whatever you wanted and if you could.
Quando voltamos para casa ainda tive que ir com ela de porta em porta de alguns prédios do condomínio fazer trick or treat! Acreditam que paguei esse mico?
When we went back to home I had to go with her to knock our neighbor’s doors and say “trick or treat”! Can you believe I did it?

A Alice gostou bastante porque encheu a sua sacola de docinhos e se divertiu bastante!
Alice had a nice time with lots of fun and had her bag plenty of candies.
Aqui no condomínio quase ninguém participou do Halloween, mas de qualquer forma, a Alice adorou ir de porta em porta. Teve um vizinho que até deu um “dinheirinho” (1 dólar) para ela. Ela achou o máximo! (Depois foi numa loja de tudo por 1 dólar -sim, aqui também tem!- e comprou uma coisinha para ela).
In our condominium few people celebrated Halloween, but anyway, Alice liked it very. One neighbor gave her 1 dollar. She loved it! (Later we went to a Dollar Tree store – yes, they do have those stores here! – and she bought a toy).
Ela já está planejando o próximo Halloween! Dá para acreditar?
She is already planning next year Halloween party. Can you believe that?
